Foredom-Mount Rail Kit

The Foredom-Mount Rail Kit is a durable, all-metal swivel device with a tensioning swivel that is designed to clamp to aluminum extrusion. It works with a Foredom rotary tool handpiece.

Features:

Durable, fully-machined, 6061 T6 aluminum, powder-coated cold-rolled steel, C360 brass, UHMW plastic, and nylon construction.

Dual 608 precision hybrid ceramic bearings. Easily replaceable.

6" wire height from top surface of extrusion.

Tensioner tailstock with 2 inches of travel, a handwheel, and a tensioner lock and drag adjuster.

Cam clamp levers to lock position of units on rail.

UHMW plastic strips to reduce friction between rail and kit components. This makes position adjustments smoother and prevents scratching of rail anodization.

Foredom-mount headstock supports 1" diameter Foredom rotary tool handpieces. Some import rotary tool handpieces will also work, provided that their diameter is a very close match.

Includes the Single Bearing Adapter Kit (shown at bottom of page).

Rotary handpiece and aluminum extrusion are not included. Yes, that actually needs to be said.

Supported Extrusion:

The rail kit is compatible with 1" x 3" 10-series aluminum extrusion, with a top central slot width of 1/4".

This product is NOT compatible with rails from made-in-china micro wood lathes.

Each rail kit end base is about 5" long, so keep that in mind when selecting a length of rail.
